2001-08-19 - 9:47 p.m. - i have nothing to say today and it feels real good.
not much to say today here are some brief thoughts...nothing profound:---tourists are retarded...i swear they don't know how to walk a normal place and when you finally think they have it THEY STOP right in front of you.
---the best parts of london are outside the center of the city...thats where you see people enjoying themselves and embracing the underground/punk/indie scene and thats also where almost ALL of the amazing record shops are...
---we watched a show on BBC TV about how the sun will, billions of years from now, destroy the earth. this show discussed different ways we could start planning for the preseverence of our species. at first we can go to mars to buy us time. this menas we need to get oxygen onto the planet. this means (according to sam neil although im not so sure this is right) we need to get plants onto mars. in order to get ploants on mars we have to heat up the atmosphere. in order to heat up the atmosphere...some people think it woul be a good idea to POLLUTE MARS...yes to send up giant machines (known here on earth as cars, or republicans) to thicken the atmosphere of mars with filth so that it will retain heat and sustain plant life to create oxygen to support human life. yes we are destroying our new homes before we even get there. its like when a girl asks a guy out on a date and the guy says, we're just going to break up anyway, why fucking bother.
so anyway, we're just left to drift through our lives knowing we don't have to worry about this travesty(as we have like 7 billion years) like endless strings of stars, not unlike the eyes of a thousand children hung from shiny new razor wire.
