today i woke up cold and have grown gradually warmer as the sun moves across the sky, making an arc by which we pray for some sort of deliverance from the wicked world outside.i was thinking about that haiku you wrote. the one about beauty being skin deep and wanting to lose your skin. i think that is ridiculous. you are one of the most beautiful people i know in every way shape and form. you are the light by which so many people see and read -- novels, poems, lyrics on the jacket of a recod -- just before bedtime, and the pen with which so many write. sometimes i fucking hate it when you say things that don't make sense about your self, about not being attractive or some other overly self critical observation about your hair or something. you said: "maybe i should remove my skin" but i don't want to see you fall apart and what else do you think is keeping you together. your skin is what makes the body whole.
maybe this time everything will make sense.
maybe this time when we watch that movie.
